We at Cherished Cockers realize that people want to be able to donate to Cherished Cockers in a variety of ways.  Below is a list that will help you find a way to contribute to Cherished Cockers that is comfortable for you.  If you have any other ideas as to ways that people can donate, please share them with us!

Foster a Cocker - Cherished Cockers always needs individuals who will foster one of the cockers that Cherished Cockers has brought into rescue. Please consider completing an application to foster one of our cockers until a forever home can be found.

Donate Money – Cherished Cockers is a volunteer organization that is able to operate through the generous donations of individuals.  Some of the typical expenses include food, veterinary care, and grooming.  Cocker spaniel rescue is expensive.  Mounting expenses sometimes limit what Cherished Cockers can do for needy cockers.  Therefore, we need you to join the effort to get needy cockers to safety with Cherished Cockers and then to make or keep them healthy so that they can find loving forever homes.  Names of recent donors will be placed in the Guardian Angels section of the latest Cherished Cockers newsletter.  In the event that a person does not want his/her name listed, the recent donor will be referred to as an “Anonymous and Valued Donor.”

Make a Donation in Memory of a Beloved Companion Animal
On our Special Tributes page, Cherished Cockers will list the name of a beloved companion animal who has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.  Names on the Special Tributes page are listed in alphabetical order.  Cost of listing a loved one on this page is $10.00 per name per year and can be paid by sending a check to Cherished Cockers at the above address.

Each year, countless used inkjet printer cartridges end up in landfills.  Now you can help the environment while helping Cherished Cockers at the same time!  Collect used InkJet printer cartridges from your family, friends, and co-workers.  After that, please mail them to address listed below, and we will do the rest!

Donate Assets – If you have one of the assets listed below that you no longer want, please consider donating the value of the asset to Cherished Cockers.  The procedure to donate the asset is different depending on the asset.  Names of recent asset donors will be placed in the Guardian Angels section of the latest Cherished Cockers newsletter.  In the event that a person does not want his/her name listed, the recent asset donor will be referred to as an “Anonymous and Valued Donor.”

• Donate Jewelry -  Cherished Cockers is always looking for fine jewelry that we can auction online.  If you have any fine jewelry that you would like to donate, please have a reputable jeweler appraise the jewelry and place the appraised value on a certified document.  Cherished Cockers will provide you a receipt for the appraised value that has been stated by the jeweler.
  
• Donate Stock/Securities – The stock market is not what is once was!  If you have some stock on your portfolio that has not done well in recent months, consider donating that stock to Cherished Cockers.  You get to make a tax deductible contribution, and you get to claim the loss that you have incurred from that stock.  Contact us, and we will provide information as how to do this.

Hold a Garage Sale or Yard Sale – If you are going to hold a garage sale or a yard sale, please consider donating the proceeds from your sale to Cherished Cockers.  That way, you make a tax deductible, charitable contribution, and you get rid of some of the things that have been taking up room in your house or apartment!

Estate Planning – Please remember Cherished Cockers in your will or living trust.  Contact your lawyer for the proper procedure.
